TU's 49th Convocation Program today

Kathmandu: Tribhuvan University (TU) is all set to organize its 49th convocation. TU is holding the convocation in Dashrath Rangashala on Monday. The official program would start at 11:30 a.m.

TU’s Chancellor Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ and President Ram Chandra Paudel will attend the program. TU invited President Paudel as the chief guest of the program. 12 thousand and 4 hundred 15 students will be convocated this year.

Out of 73 thousand students, who passed between June 2022 and June 2023, around 12 thousand will participate in the program. Students filled online form to participate in the convocation program.

President Paudel would honor a total of 26 students from MPhil, Master level, and Bachelor level with certificates and medals. He would also hand over certificates and letters of honor to 113 students from MPhil and Ph.D. levels.

TU decided to organize a convocation program in Dashrath Rangashala Stadium as the number of students was high. A crowd of 28000 people, students along with their parents, has been expected to attend the convocation program.

Likewise, TU has applied for ‘The Guinness Book of the World’, claiming the passed-out number to be the highest in the world. The representatives of GBW have arrived in KTM. TU said that GBW representatives would attend the convocation program.
