Kathmandu: A person has attacked CPN (UML) Chairperson KP Sharma Oli, during the “Mahakali-Mechi Resolution March’ (Sangkalpa Yatra).
Oli was attacked in Leguwa, the border area of Dhankuta and Bhojpur. The attacker has been identified as Mahesh Rai, one of the leaders of the identitarian group.
Cadres were welcoming Chairperson Oli. Rai was part of the crowd. He punched Oli. Then, the UML Cadres controlled the attacker.
Rai has been advocating in favor of identitarian demonstrators. Police arrested Rai.
