Kathmandu: CPN(UML) has appeared defensive while visiting Majh Kirat, which is recognized as the Identitarian group area.
The team of CPN (UML), which is in its Sankalapa Yatra (Resolution March), behaved subtly after stepping into Koshi Province. UML decided to cancel the public discussion and only organize discussions and meetings.
KP Sharma Oli’s led team is currently in the eastern mountainous districts. Oli, who used to strongly criticize Koshi’s identitarian group since the start of Sangkalap Yatra, has a restrained presentation in Majh Kirat.
Oli’s expression, in the meeting held in Harkhapur, Okhaldunga on Tuesday, indicated a different mindset. He appeared peacefully yesterday.
Oli suggested making the identitarian demonstration lawful and peaceful. UML March reached Koshi Province on Tuesday.
According to the Chief of the Publicity Department Rajendra Gautam, there has been a schedule of meeting activists in Temkemyug, observing the Taksar market in the afternoon, and discussing with businesspersons.
Identitarian groups have been demonstrating continuously after the name of Province 1 was changed to Koshi. The group has been blaming UML as the main factor in the naming of Province 1.
The Joint Struggle Committee said that they targeted Koshi’s mid-hill district for demonstration as 82 MP of UML voted in favor of the name Koshi.
