Two arrested with 14-kg gold from Tribhuvan International Airport

Kathmandu: A joint team of the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA)’s Customs Office and Police have arrested two persons with 14 kilograms of gold from the airport.

The squad arrested Min Bahadur Ghale, a resident of Gorkha and another person who came via Fly Dubai’s FZ 573 number flight, on Thursday night. Customs Officer Ramesh Kunwar told RSS that Ghale was arrested with seven biscuit-shaped yellow metal pieces wrapped in clothes.

Likewise, Kathmandu Valley Police Office Spokesperson, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Dinesh Raj Mainali said another person arrested as a acting informer to Ghale. Arrested Ghale has been detained at the Koteswor Police Rang. He would be handed to the TIA Office.

According to SSP Mainali  investigation into the incident has been initiated further.
