RSP submits attention letter to Finance Committee

Kathmandu: Rastriya Swatantra Party(RSP) has demanded a fair investigation into the Ncell share scandal.

RSP MP duo Dr. Swarnim Wagle and Biraj Bhakta Shrestha drew the attention of the House of Representative’s Finance Committee to conduct a fair investigation into the Ncell share scandal.

RSP MP Dr. Wagle and Shrestha visited Committee Chairperson Santosh Chalise and handed an attention letter in his office room on Wednesday.

They demanded to call the Chief Executive of Axiata, Nepali origin partner of Ncell, Finance Minister, Minister of Information and Communication, Chief Executive of Investment Board, and Chairperson of Nepal Telecommunication Authority in the meeting for inquiry.

The letter mentions that Ncell, which annually does a transaction of 10s of billion, even mocked democratic laws and good governance by influencing and giving out undue advantages, and inducements to Nepal’s leading political leader, personal policymakers, and media persons.

Lamichhane challenges leaders: Can you make an open investigation of financial transactions with Ncell?
