Kathmandu: The Government has decided to assign security forces to construct temporary houses for earthquake victims. The Council of Ministers decided to assign the responsibility to the Nepal Army, Armed Police Force, and Nepal Police on Wednesday.
Spokesperson and Minister of Information Communication Rekha Sharma said, ‘A district security committee has been formed under the leadership of the chief district officer of the earthquake-affected district for the construction of temporary houses, as problems were reported in the construction of temporary houses. It has been decided to assign the responsibility of constructing temporary houses to the Nepal Army, Armed Police Force, and Nepal Police as per the recommendation.’
Thousands of people in Jajarkot and Rukum West have become homeless due to the earthquake on 3rd November (Kartik 17).
