Hearing of Fake Bhutanese Refugee Case in Patan High Court

Kathmandu: The hearing of the imprisoned ones for the involvement in fake Bhutanese refugee hearings will continue from today.

The hearing would be held at Patan High Court. The case of faking Nepali nationals as Bhutanese refugees and sending them to the USA.

Accusations such as fraud, scribe , actions against government, and organized crime upon fake Bhutanese refugee defendants. Hearing case of former Deputy Prime Minister Top Bahadur Rayamajhi and former Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand will be held in Patan High Court.

As per the directions of the court, the accused ones including former Deputy Prime Minister Top Bahadur Rayamajhi, former Home Minister Balkrishna Khand, government secretary (suspended) Tek Narayan Pandey, Indrajit Rai, security advisor to the then Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa were remanded.

Likewise, Teknath Rijal, Keshav Dulal, Sanu Bhandari, Ang Tawa Sherpa, Samsher Miya, Sandeep Rayamajhi, Sandesh Sharma, Sagar Rai, Ramsharan KC, Narendra KC, Gobinda Chaudhary, and Haribhakta Maharjan had been jailed in the case.

Police have been unable to arrest accused Ram Bahadur Thapa’s son Pratik and Indrajit’s son Niraj Rai and other 15 people.
