Confrontation between robbers and police

Janakpurdham: A double confrontation has occurred between robbers and police.

The police were taking the robbers to the Mahottari Police Station, Jaleshwor. The fight occurred in Sanema Rural Municipality-5 on Tuesday night. The robbers were absconding.

Mohattari Police Spokesperson DSP Dilip Kumar Giri said that Shakti Paswan (33 years old) and Ajay Paswan (32) were arrested from Garuda Municipality from Rautahat. Both of them are the residents of Lalbandi Lalbandi municipality-2.

Police seized a pistol and bullets from them. Spokesperson Giri said that they were shot in the left leg when they jumped from the vehicle. Their treatment is going on in Province Hospital.

The robbers had robbed the house of Bhuvaneshwor Chaudhary in Jaleshwor-8 on Kartik 20. They looted 40 tola gold jewelry, 45 tola silver ornaments, one mobile, and 1 lakh 75 rupees cash from the house.

According to Mohattari SP Malla, there are a total of 11 cases against the robbers. They were part of 2 robberies in Mohattari, 1 in Dhanusa, and 1 in Rautahat. SP Malla said that they would be punished as per section 244 of Chapter 20 of the Civil Crime COde 2074.
