RSP appeals to government for reconstruction contract in earthquake-affected region

Kathmandu: Rashtriya Swatantra Party(RSP) has appealed to the government for a reconstruction contract in the earthquake-affected region.

RSP General Secretary and Spokesperson Mukul Dhakal appealed, through a press release, a contract to reconstruct the devastated structures in the earthquake.

RSP asked for the earthquake reconstruction contract expressing dissatisfaction towards the government’s rescue operation and distribution of relief materials to earthquake victims. The press release claims RSP of having a team of experts for earthquake reconstruction work in its party.

According to the press release, ‘RSP shows dissatisfaction towards the government’s action and attitude in rescue operations, distribution of relief materials, and primitive reconstruction stage in earthquake-affected regions. Being the 4th largest political party and center for the new hope of citizens, we appeal to the government to hand over the earthquake’s reconstruction and restoration contract to RSP Party.’

Many have called the appeal of RSP for reconstruction rights a “non-political” and a “stunt”.
