Festival reception of Nepali Congress (Photo Feature)

Kathmandu: Leaders from different political parties have attended the festive reception organized by the Nepali Congress in the Central Office of the Nepali Congress, Sanepa. 

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ is also present in the program. KP Sharma Oli and other CPN(UML) leaders addressed the program. CPN (Unified Socialist) Party Chairperson Madhav Kumar Nepal is also in the program. NC President Sher Bahadur Deuba and other officials were welcoming the guest. The program will conclude at around 5 p.m.

NC has invited high-ranking officials, ministers, members of parliament, diplomats, heads of political parties, etc to the program. Nepali Congress has been organizing the tradition of organizing this festival reception annually on Kojagrat Purnima, the last day of the Dashain festival, since the year 2034 BS. 

This tradition was initiated in 2034 BS in honor of NC’s founding member, BP Koirala, who got back home on Push 16, 2033 BS (December 30, 1976) with a policy of national unity and reconciliation, following his exile in India.
