2nd Day of Bada Dashain: Elder ones offering tika continues

Kathmandu: Today is the second day of Bada Dashain. The ones who were unable to put tika on Vijaya Dashami, receive tika from their relatives today.

People go to the houses of their relatives to put on tika and get blessings till Kojagrat Purnima. Bustling can be seen on streets for putting tika.

There is a ritual of putting tika, jamara, and prasad from the elder ones, as the blessing of Durga Bhawani. It is believed that happiness, peace, prosperity, and glory come into life after receiving tika from respected ones.

Elder ones give blessings to the smaller ones while offering tika. It is believed that Dashain flourishes harmony, friendliness, and understanding among the family.
