According to NRB, each person can exchange a maximum 18,500 rupees, which will comprises each bundle of 5, 10, 20, 50, and 100 rupees.

Kathmandu: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has started the facility of exchanging banknotes from today.

A huge crowd was spotted to exchange the money for the upcoming Dashain. A queue was seen at various branches of Rastriya Banijaya Bank and the Department of Currency Management of Rastra Bank in Kathmandu Valley.

According to NRB, each person can exchange a maximum of 18,500 rupees, which will comprise each bundle of 5, 10, 20, 50, and 100 rupees.

Likewise, NRB said that the notes could be exchanged in branches of Rastra Bank Branches in Provinces or branches of Rastriya Banijaya Bank.

NRB has been providing the facility of the new banknotes exchange for festivals annually.
