Voting concludes in CPN(UML) Koshi Province Convention

Kathmandu: The voting for the new leadership of the Koshi Province CPN(UML) Convention has concluded.

The voting began on Sunday at 10:00 p.m. It concluded on Monday at 5:00 a.m. Election Committee Chairman Chudamani Acharya said that out of 997 members, 977 members voted in the election. Binod Dhakal and Ghanshyam Khatiwada are competing for the Chairman position.

CPN(UML) Convention that began on Friday will select 215 members for the new government. According to the election committee, vote counting will start in the evening.

The voting was scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. on Sunday. But due to a lack of preparations voting began at 10:30 pm.
