The relief and pension-deprived teachers have been demonstrating against the school education bill registered in parliament.
Kathmandu: A scuffle has occurred between police and demonstrating teachers.
The scuffle occurred after the sloganeering demonstrators tried to enter the restricted area. They were moving towards New Baneshwor after gathering at Maitighar Mandala.
The relief and pension-deprived teachers have been demonstrating against the school education bill registered in parliament.
After three days of continuous demonstration, the Nepal Teachers’ Association and the government came to a six-point agreement on 22nd September (Asoj 5, Friday).
However, the relief teachers claimed that their demands were not addressed in the agreement. Then, they decided to continue their protest.
