All services at Pokhara hospitals except emergency shut

Kathmandu: All the services except emergency are closed in hospitals in Pokhara today in protest against the attack on health workers at Manipal Hospital.
Nepal Medical Association called on hospitals throughout Gandaki province to suspend all services save the emergency citing that the doctors are being attacked one after the other.
The Nepal Medical Association had expressed its solidarity with the call. All services except emergency are closed at the Pokhara Academy of Health Sciences, the largest health facility in Gandaki province, today, at the call of the Association, said the Hospital Director Bharat Khatri.
Patients from rural and far-flung areas are facing inconvenience due to the closure of the health services.
