Kathmandu: The education of more than 53 lakh students has been affected due to the demonstration of teachers against the registration of education bills at parliament.
Teachers started the Kathmandu-centric demonstration on Wednesday. Teachers shut down various schools and have reached Kathmandu from various parts of the nation.
The education of more than 53 lakh 82 thousand students has been affected due to the demonstration. According to the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology, about 1 lakh 57 thousand 3 hundred 54 teachers teach in 27 thousand 3 hundred and 43 community schools across the nation.
Teachers came to Kathmandu to protest against the school education bill. Nepal Teachers’ Federation has decided to close the schools unless the demands are addressed. The negotiation held today ended without a conclusion.
