Constituent Assembly’s Chairperson Subash Chandra Nembang passed away

Kathmandu: Constituent Assembly’s Chairperson and former Speaker Subash Chandra Nembang has passed away. 

According to UML leaders, Nembang died while he was taken to the Teaching hospital after a heart attack. His body has been kept in the hospital.

Many political leaders reached the hospital to outpour condolence for Nembang. His body would be kept in the CPN (UML) Central Office, Chyasal. 

Nembang was also the vice-chairperson of CPN (UML). He was the chairperson of the Constituent Assembly in 2064 and 2070 B.S. He was elected from Ilam-2. 

He unanimously became Speaker four times. Former Speaker Nembang had continuously won the election from Illam to become a member of Parliament since 2056 B.S. He was also the deputy leader of the CPN (UML) Parliamentary Party.
