Kathmandu: Demonstrators have shaved their heads seeking justice for Aarti Shah.

The demonstrators have been protesting for the justice of Aarti Shah for the past 85 days in Maitighar Mandala. Aarti’s father Binod Prasad Shah, maternal uncle Santosh Shah, and other supporters have jointly shaved their heads symbolizing the death of justice in the nation.

Their shaved head is a protest against the government’s lack of concern for the thorough investigation of the case.

Aarti’s dead body was found hanging in the room on 7^th Jestha (21^st May 2023) in Janakpurdham Sub-Metropolitan City-9. Her death became suspicious with bruises and injuries in the body.

Aarti’s family has been claiming her death as a murder rather than being a suicide. Police have already arrested and prosecuted two people in the case.
