Oli Govt. had not sent any notes regarding the pointed spur map to China: NP Saud

Kathmandu: Foreign Minister Narayan Prasad Saud has shared that the then government of Nepal did not send any note to China regarding the pointed spur map.

Minister Saud addressed the Public Relations and Tourism Committee meeting on Thursday. He said that the then government had not sent any note to the neighboring countries regarding the new map.

The new map comprised Kalapani, Lipulekh, and Limpiyadhura as the parts of Nepal. CPN(UML) chairperson KP Sharma Oli was the Prime Minister and Pradeep Gyawali was the Foreign  Minister when the map was issued.

The map was issued on 20 May 2020 (Jestha 7, 2077 B.S.). The House of Representatives unanimously passed the map on 13 June 2020 (31 Jestha, 2077).

Minister Saud said that the agenda of the Prime Minister’s visit to China had been finalized.
