Asia Cup: Pakistan defeats Nepal by 238 runs

Kathmandu: Pakistan has defeated Nepal in the inauguration match of the Asia Cup. 

Pakistan defeated Nepal by 238 runs at Multan Cricket Stadium. In the course of chasing 343 runs as a target, Nepal was only able to secure 104 runs. Nepal appeared weak in all three aspects; balling, batting, and fielding. 

Pakistan gave a target of 343 runs in the first innings. 

The explosive batting from Babar Azam and Iftikhar Ahmed was able to make 342 runs with the loss of 6 wickets in 50 overs. The match is going on in Multan Cricket Stadium.

Babar and Iftikhar played century innings for Pakistan. Babar added 151 runs and Iftikhar remained not out at 109 runs. Both batters completed a partnership of 200 runs for the fifth wicket.

Sompal Kami was able to gain two wickets for Nepal. And Sandeep Lamichhane and Karan KC took 1 wicket each. Imam-ul-Haq and Salman were run out.
