Kathmandu: Finance Minister Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat has accused CPN (UML) of shutting down the voice of people by obstructing the house sessions with unwanted agendas.

Dr. Mahat shared his opinion while speaking at a press conference at Nepali Congress in Janakpurdham, Madhesh Province. He said that it was not reasonable for obstructing the platform for the people.

He said that although the opposition party had a responsibility of showing the direction to the government, no one has the right to turn the platform for people’s voices into a stagnant place.

Dr. Mahat said that most of the draft bills related to development, law, and budget are in a state of limbo. He said that the situation had created obstacles in the budget allocation.
