Maoist General Secretary Dev Gurung in China visit

Kathmandu: CPN (Maoist) Centre General Secretary Dev Gurung has departed for seven days of China visit.

According to his Secretariat, Gurung went to China at 1 pm. General Secretary Gurung departed for China before the official visit of Prime Minister and Maoist Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’. There is a schedule for PM Prachanda to visit China on 23rd September. Gurung might have gone to China to prepare for PM Dahal’s visit.

However, his secretary Nawaraj Thapa has tagged the visit as a family gathering. Gurung went to meet his son, who is studying in China. Thapa had predicted a few political meetings of Gurung in China.

Vice-President Ram Sahay Yadav will go on a China visit next week. Vice-President Yadav will be there between the 16th and 20th of August. He will participate in the Seventh China-South Asia Exposition in Kunming, China.
