Earlier, Indian Media had reported 7 Nepali citizens missing in the natural disaster. The people went missing after the landslide swept away three shops (Dhaba).

Kathmandu: The number of missing Nepali people in the landslide has reached 13.

13 Nepali citizens have been missing in the landslides that took place in Gaurikund, Uttarakhand, India.

Earlier, Indian Media had reported 7 Nepali citizens missing in the natural disaster. The people went missing after the landslide swept away three shops (Dhaba).

The online news portal of Jagaran reported that the landslide swept away the shop owner and customers having food in the Dhaba.

It was reported that Amar Bohora along with his family went missing in the landslide. Additional six Nepali citizens are found to be reported to be buried in the landslide. The landslide swept away Amar, his wife, three sons, and two daughters. Man Bahadur Budha, Lal Bahadur Kami, and Sukhram Raut were the customers who were having food in the shop and also went missing.

Amar and his family are believed to be residents of Karnali Province. They are predicted to be from Humla and Jumla. The investigation is going on. Nepal Police said that it had not received any information regarding the incident.

Gaurikund lies on the way to pilgrimage Kedarnath. There are thousands of Nepali citizens in the area for employment.
