Heavy rainfall recorded in Koshi and Madhes provinces

Kathmandu: Koshi and Madhes provinces received heavy rainfall throughout the night. A warning of flood and inundation has also been issued in some places.

According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, Jhapa received 115 mm rainfall in the last six hours. Similarly, 75 mm rainfall has been recorded in Morang, 80 mm in Sunsari, 39 mm in Saptari, 75 mm in Dhanusha, 108 mm in Bara, 40 mm in Parsa and 40 mm in Udayapur.

Dolakha, Sindhupalchowk and Chitwan have received heavy rainfall. Nawalpur of Gandaki has received 62 mm rainfall. Flood warning has been issued in Morang and Jhapa.

Light to moderate rainfall is taking place at a few places of Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces and at a few places of rest of the provinces. Heavy rainfall is also taking place at one or two places of Koshi and Madhes provinces.

The weather will be partly to generally cloudy throughout the country. Light to moderate rain is likely to occur at a few places of Bagmati, Gandaki and Bagmati provinces and at a few places of rest of the provinces.

There is a possibility of heavy rain accompanied by thunder and lightning at one or two places of Koshi Province. There is also a possibility of windstorm at a few places of Madhes province and Koshi province.

The weather will be generally to fully cloudy throughout the country at night. Light to moderate rain is likely to occur at a few places of the province. Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely to occur at a few places of Koshi and Gandaki provinces.

There is also a possibility of wind storm at a few places of Madhes province and Lumbini province.
