Kathmandu: Three Nepalis were killed in a landslide at Kyara in Himachal Pradesh’s Shimla district.
The deceased have been identified as Deb Bahadur Oli, 50, his wife Bhima Oli, 48, and younger son Mohan Oli, 16, of Triveni-9 khahare in Rukum West. They were buried to death in the landslide that occurred at 10 am on Monday.
Three members of a family of Triveni rural municipality-9 died, said ward chair Hari Bahadur Khadka.
The Oli family had gone to India for employment. Deb Bahadur and Bhima’s eldest son Lokendra Oli was also living with them there. B he was not with them when the landslide hit them on Monday morning, Khadka added.
The youngest son, Mohan, had gone to India this year after appearing for the SEE exam. Khadka said that there is only a daughter-in-law in the village.
