Demonstrators protesting against Lalitpur Metropolitan City’s decision of removing Police Station in Lagankhel (Photo Feature)

Kathmandu: Local people have protested against the decision of Lalitpur Metropolitan City and Ward number 12 to remove the Police Station and other structures to build a commercial complex in Lagankhel.

21 Local Tole Reform Committee and other organizations gathered for sloganeering against the decision in front of the Lalitpur Metropolitan Office, Pulchowk on Thursday.

The demonstrators had shouted slogans like ‘Bhumafia Murdabad’ (Backoff Land Mafia), ‘Byaparik Complex Chahindaina’ (No need of Commercial Complex), ‘Prahari Chauki Hatauna Paindain (Police Station cannot be removed), ‘Mahanagar Ko Nirnaya Firta Gar’ (Metropolis Take back the decision).
