CIB arrests Samar Jung Company's employee Ramesh Pokharel and Fake Mohi

Kathmandu: Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) has arrested additional two people in the Lalita Niwas land grab scandal.

CIB arrested the then-government employee of the Samar Jung Company Ramesh Pokharel and fake Mohi Dev Narayan Maharajan.

Many sections of land were named for the Samar Jung Company. The company comes under the Home Ministry of Nepal. Shivaji Bhattarai, Dhaman Kumar Karki, and Baburaj Maharjan were arrested on Sunday.

Maharjan is also a fake Mohi. Bhattarai was the then Ward Secretary of Kathmandu Metropolitan-4. Karki is the officer of the Survey Office.

CIB arrested Min Bahadur Gurung, Sudhir Shah(the then officer of the Bhaktapur Malpot Office), Dharma Prasad Gautam (Employee of the Malpot Office), and another Malpot Officer Gopal Karki on Tuesday.

An arrest warrant against 406 people had been issued. Out of which, 397 people are still to be arrested in the scandal.
