Kathmandu: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has expressed dissatisfaction regarding the social media.
PM Dahal furiously stated that social media was spreading illusions rather than reality. He shared his opinion while addressing the parliamentary meeting on Wednesday,
He said, ‘The pictures of social media seem to divert national topics. The time has come to think seriously about the issue. Is blasphemy dominating us rather than subject matter expertise? Are cheap subject matters drawing attention rather than the real issue of people? Are politicians like us also forgetting our wisdom and limitation for applause on social media? Is our behavior weakening the faces and characteristics of politics?’
PM Dahal poured his dissatisfaction regarding the trend of not seeing progress in the country but praising past activities like a jackpot. He added, ‘This nation would not be able to get its faith back unless “Nothing will happen and condition wouldn’t change” like attitude is dropped. There were 18 hours of load shedding when I became the Prime Minister for the second time. We succeeded in creating load-shedding free bright Nepal. And we have reached the state of being able to sell electricity to India and Bangladesh within few years.’
He was proud of decreasing the import of petroleum-related products and increasing the export of tens of thousands of electricity. But he said that the views on social media would be like reflecting the past scenario as if milk used to flow in the river.
