Kathmandu: Police have arrested comedian Marichman Shrestha ‘Balchhi Dhrube.’ He has been arrested for promoting the restricted online betting platform ‘1X Bet.’
Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office arrested Shrestha. Police arrested Shrestha for advertising the online gambling platform ‘1X Bet.’
Shrestha has been part of Nepali TV series like ‘Halka Ramailo’ and ‘Juthey.’ Police even arrested 15 other people, including artists and YouTubers, in the same case.
Police arrested five people in the case of online gambling on Wednesday. Dinesh Khadka, Anita Dhital, Dinesh Shrestha, Dinesh Chand, and Ashish Lamichhane were among the arrested ones.
