PM Dahal lands in Dang to attend Nepal Sanskrit University convocation ceremony

Kathmandu: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has reached Dang today to take part in the Nepal Sanskrit University Fifth Convocation Ceremony at Beljhundi.

The PM reached out today morning on a helicopter of the Nepal Army. Prof Hareram Tripathi, Chancellor of the Sampurnananda Sanskrit University, Varanasi is a guest speaker for the ceremony.

The convocation is being held after 12 years. It was halted due to various reasons, it has been said.

Others present on the occasion were the University pro-chancellor, Minister for Education, Science and Technology Ashok Kumar Rai, Minister for Communications and Information Technology Rekha Sharma, Chief of Lumbini Province Amik Sherchan, Chief Minister of Lumbini Province Dilli Bahadur Chaudhary, former chief ministers, ministers of the provincial government, members of the federal parliament and the provincial assembly and members of the University.

According to the University Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Yadav Prakash Lamichhane, 575 students will be graduating on the occasion.
