Monsoon to enter Nepal tomorrow, rainfall occurs in some places

Kathmandu: People will get relief from drought and heat as monsoon is approaching Nepal within a day.

Meteorologists have said that there will be some relief from drought and extreme heat as this year’s monsoon is approaching Nepal. According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, the monsoon is likely to enter Nepal’s territory tomorrow.

The monsoon system has already become active in north-eastern region of India, Bangladesh and Bhutan. It is likely to enter Nepal’s Koshi province, said the meteorologists.

Due to the approaching monsoon, cloudy weather and rainfall have occurred in many parts of the country. In the last 12 hours, Singti of Dolakha has received around 60 millimeters rainfall. Similarly, Kathmandu received 9.8 millimeters of rainfall.

Dadeldhura in the west has also received rainfall. However, no rainfall has been recorded in the central and western Terai.

According to the Division, the weather is likely to remain cloudy in the hilly regions of Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces today, with rainfall occuring in some places.
