‘Opposing the questions raised by RPP’s MP is against the constitution’: RPP

Kathmandu: Rastriya Prajantra Party (RPP) has termed the questions raised over its Member of Parliament’s opposition, during the meeting of the budget, as an act against the constitution.

MP Gyanendra Shahi demanded the resignation of Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ in the meeting on Sunday. MP Madhav Spakota had opposed the view. Sapkota said that the disrespect of PM Dahal was the disrespect of the country. RPP Spokesperson Mohan Kumar Shrestha said that the opposition was against the constitution.

Spokesperson Shrestha said, ‘The question raised against the objection related to MPs of RPP regarding political, social and livelihood is objectionable and opposite of the constitution.’

Shrestha added, ‘No other article is irrevocable apart from the protection of freedom, sovereignty, geographical integrity, nationalism, independence, self-respect and the rights and interests of Nepali people. Even Constitution can be revised.’

He said that the right of absolute consumption of the Republic was also the same for the protestors. He said, ‘I want to remind the ones, who claim of bringing Republic through struggle and protest-even the protestors of the Republic have the right of absolute consumption of it. ‘

This is not the first time that a series of allegations-accusation took place between the Royalist RPP and Republican political parties.
