Kathmandu: Member of Parliament MP Gagan Kumar Thapa has proposed for the formation of the ‘Board of Revenue.’ Thapa proposed about the board while participating in the meeting on Sunday.
Thapa proposed, ‘Let’s form a Board of Revenue. This will perform both functions of executive and advisor. After forming the board, and conducting proposing the rate of tax, the rate of tax can also be changed. Otherwise, what’s the point of bringing a bill? But, why has tax been changed on each category? What is propriety? What was the load after giving a discount? What difference did it make by giving a discount rather than removing it? What was the evidence for giving the discount? Whether it was the case of an electric vehicle or any other case. What was the evidence? What is the evidence? Where was it studied? What was its basis? All these things needed to be displayed in the parliament. If we apply these steps, we might step into performing budgeting?’
Thapa said that it would help to improve the budget procedure.
