Kaski: Pumdikot has become the main attraction for both internal and foreign tourists visiting Pokhara.

The construction of the 52-foot tall statue of Lord Shiva in Pumdikot has become a religious site for Nepali and Indian tourists. It is estimated that the completion of the statue of Shiva, along with other structures, will cost about 40 crore rupees.

The outer part of the statue is made up of fiber and the internal part is made of steel. It was designed and constructed in Mathura, India.

Along with the tallest statue of Lord Shiva, there will be 108 Shiva Lingas, 108 Swargadwari Steps, Sumeru Mountain, Guru Maharaj Ashram, Green Garden, Peace Pillar, Senior Citizen Meeting Center, Meditation Center, and construction of other structures to enhance the beauty of Pumdikot. Other structures to promote the beauty of Pumdikot are still in the pipeline.

When the weather is clear, one can experience the immense beauty of mountains including Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Phewa Lake, and Pokhara valley.
