Kathmandu: Police have arrested a dozen of human rights activists, who were protesting at the Southern gate of the Singha Durbar, today.

Human rights as well as Peace Society Activists demonstrated demanding the investigation of leaders of major political parties involved in huge organizational corruption.

Police arrested the demonstrators for stepping into the restricted area. The protestors started protesting using banners and play cards from the office of the District Coordination Committee. Police controlled and arrested the activists from the gate of the committee office.

Human Rights activists including Krishna Pahadi, Arjun Parajuli, Uttam Pudasaini, Ishwor Pudasaini, and Bhagwan Pudasaini were arrested in the protest. Police informed that a total of 17 people had been arrested for their participation in the demonstration.
