Kathmandu: The meeting of the top leaders of three major political parties has agreed to remove lawmaker Lekhnath Dahal’s statement on the Jalahari scandal from the record.
During the meeting between the leaders of the three major political parties this morning, it was agreed that Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ would address the parliament on the issue and remove dahal’s statement from the record.
UML lawmakers disrupted the parliament on Friday after party’s chairperson KP Oli’s name was linked to the Jalhari scandal.
In the meeting, prime minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal made it clear that the then prime minister Oli would not be associated with the scandal as the work of installing Jalahari was related with Pashupati Area Development Trust, according to UML whip Padam Giri.
The UML has said it will not disrupt the parliament after the three parties reached the agreement. In today’s House meeting, Prachanda is scheduled to answer questions raised on policies and programmes.
