Police arrest Shamsher Miya in fake Bhutanese refugee scandal

Kathmandu: Another man has been arrested in the fake Bhutanese refugee scandal case.

Shamsher Miya, the chairman of the Central Hajj Committee under the Home Ministry, has been arrested in the case for investigation.

Miya was arrested from the Ministry of Energy, Water Resources, and Irrigation in Singhadurbar.

Police arrested Miya after it was found that the gang had used his vehicle. Police have suspected Miya of providing the car to the gang,

Miya is the 15th person to be arrested in the case. Previously, police arrested 14 people including former home minister Balkrishna Khand.
