Issuance of arrest warrant against former Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa’s son Pratik

Kathmandu: An arrest warrant has been issued against Pratik Thapa, the son of the former home minister and Vice-President of CPN (UML) Ram Bahadur Thapa. According to the Police, an arrest warrant was issued against Pratik on Sunday.

Previously, Pratik objected through a press release after his name was included in the fake Bhutanese refugee scandal. But, police have claimed that the warrant had been issued after the evidence was found of Pratik’s involvement in the case.

The needle of direction pointed towards Pratik after the arrest of the advisor of Ram Bahadur Thapa, Indrajit Rai. Another arrest warrant against Former Speaker and Congress leader Ang Tawa Sherpa has already been issued.

12 people including former home minister Balkrishna Khand, former home secretary Tek Narayan Pandey have already been arrested.
