Young man dies in knife attack, stressful situation in Galchhi

Dhading: The death of a young man using a sharp weapon has created a stressful situation in Galchhi, Dhading.

28 years old Binod Thapa, a local resident of Galchhi rural municipality-8, died in the incident.

The local people of the village had blocked the Nuwakot-Trishuli road claiming that it was a murder.

According to police, Binod was injured after getting stabbed by a knife during a dispute in a hotel. He died during the course of treatment in Kathmandu. Binod had entered the hotel as a customer and disputed with the hotel operator over a simple issue.

Binod became a victim of the knife attack during the same dispute. Police have taken hotel owner Saraswati Pandit and her son Niraj into custody. Police had also taken 4 customers of the hotel into custody for the investigation.
