Action must be taken whether its leader or relative: Gagan Thapa

Kathmandu: Nepali Congress General Secretary and House of Representative (HoR) member Gagan Kumar Thapa has addressed the government not to give excuses to the people involved in the fake Bhutanese refugee scandal.

Thapa, during the Pre-Budget meeting in HoR, said, ‘No one should get an excuse. Either it’s a leader or a relative in this case. Action must be taken against everyone involved.’

He even congratulated the prime minister and home minister for the progress in the case. Thapa added, ‘No rumors and meeting must affect the investigation of the case.’

Thapa said that the announcement of the investigation would not be sufficient as citizens must believe in the procedure.
