Wife’s rape accusation results in arrest of Judge Bhuvan Giri

Kathmandu: Judge Bhuvan Giri has been arrested on the accusation of rape.
Police arrested Judge Giri in the allegation of marital rape on Tuesday.
His wife, Parwati Giri Rawal, had filed a complaint alleging Giri of raping her. Kapilvastu District Court had issued an arrest warrant against Giri.
Giri called his wife back after getting transferred as a judge last month. But Parwati revealed to her friend in a phone call that Giri had made her a hostage and had been continuously torturing her.
Police rescued Parwati and arrested Giri from their house in Samakhusi.
