TRC and TJ bills will be fair and favorable to all: Top leaders

Kathmandu: The meeting of top leaders of major political parties has decided to make the bills on Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) and Transitional Justice (TJ) fair and favorable to all sides.

The top leaders of major political parties have also agreed to further discuss the issues to be incorporated in the related bills and procedures to be followed in the meeting held at House Speaker Dev Raj Ghimire.

Likewise, the leaders have agreed to conclude the leadership of and representation in parliamentary committees on the basis of consensus.

Along with Speaker Ghimire, Prime Minister and CPN (Maoist Center) Chairperson Puspa Kamal Dahal, Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuwa, And CPN (UML) Chairperson KP Sharma Oli attended the today’s meeting.

The present at the meeting were UML chief whip Padam Giri, Maoist Center chief whip Hit Raj Pandey, Congress MP Ishwari Neupane, Attorney General Dinmani Pokhrel and form Attorney General Ramesh Badal.

The next meeting of the top brass of major political parties is slated for 14^th March at 1pm.
