Condition of banks in Nepal is safe: Governor Adhikari

Kathmandu: The Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank Maha Prasad Adhikari said that the condition of banks is safe in Nepal.

Governor shared his thoughts during a press meeting on Tuesday.

Governor Adhikari said,’ The condition of banks in Nepal is safe. The statistics are strong. Few jerks won’t result in danger.’

Adhikari added that capital adequacy is in a higher position than the regulatory regime. He also requested to remain confident as the non-performing loan has not increased much but has only seen a small increment.

He added that the condition of the economy will improve in the upcoming days. Adhikari is optimistic about businessmen and bankers going hand in hand in the near future.
