Rabi Lamichhane registers candidacy for by-election

Kathmandu: The Chairman of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Rabi Lamichhane has registered his candidacy from Chitwan Constituency-2 for the House of Representatives.

Rabi Lamichhane filed his name, for the upcoming by-election to be held on April 23 (Baisakh10), on Sunday.

He had the schedule of registering the nominee at 1 pm. But after he planned of visiting Tanahu 1, he registered his name during the first official hour.

Lamichhane had previously won from the same constituency. But, his membership in the parliament was dismissed after conflict arose over his citizenship.

The constituency election in Bara 2 and Tanahun 1 is also taking place on the same day.
