Investigative Committee investigates Vladlen Tatarsky’s death as ‘high-profile murder’

Kathmandu: The initial investigation of the St. Peterburger café bomb blast is signaling the death of Russian military blogger Vladlen Tatarsky as a ‘high-profile murder’.

Tatarsky, the vocal supporter of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, lost his life in the bomb blast on Sunday evening.

Russia’s top criminal investigation agency, Investigative Committee, has begun an investigation. The preliminary investigation has described the blast as a high-profile murder.

The café had invited Tatarsky as a guest speaker for an event. The official sources said that there was a bomb in the statute, that was gifted to Tatarsky.

Tatarsky is one of the bloggers and journalists who picked up arms in the combat operations.

According to the health ministry, out of 24 injured people taken to the hospital 6 were in critical condition. The video of the incident shows the blast and injured people on the streets.

St. Petersburg is  the home city of Russian President Vladimir Putin. Previously, a supporter of Russian journalist Darya Dugina had lost her life in a car bomb attack near Moscow.
