Messi becomes the third player to cross 100 international goals

Kathmandu: Argentine caption Lionel Messi has scored his 100th international goal during the international match against Curacao.

The Argentine star scored three goals in the first half of the friendly clash with Curacao.

Messi, who is also the Seven-time Ballon d’Or winner, has passed 100 goal-marks for reigning world champions. He hit the 100 goal-mark with the opening goal in 20 minutes in Santiago del Estero on Tuesday.

Just after 13 minutes, the 35-year old Messi added another goal and completed his hat-trick in 37 minutes with 102th international goal. It was his seventh hat-trick for the national team.

With this, Messi has become the third player to cross 100 goals for the national team. The Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo is at the top with 122 international goals and Iranian legend Ali Daei is behind him with 109 goals for the country.
