Nepal’s total population reaches 2 crores 91 lakhs 64 thousand 578

Kathmandu: The result of the 12^th population census of Nepal has been published.

The 12^th population census, published on Friday, is 291 million 64 thousand 578 (2 crores 91 lakhs 64 thousand 578) according to the Central Bureau of Statistics.

There are a total of 1 crore 42 lakhs 53 thousand 551 male and 1 crore 49 lakhs 11 thousand 27 female population as per the latest data.

2 thousand 928 people have been registered as another gender. One-third of the total population is residing in Bagmati Province.

About 21% of the population is residing in Bagmati and Madhesh Province whereas the population in Karnali Province is the least.

The largest amount of population growth has been found in Bhaktapur and the least growth is seen in Ramechhap.
