5 DIGs promoted to AIG

Kathmandu: 5 Deputy Inspector Generals of Police (DIGs) have been promoted to Additional Inspector General (AIG).
A council of ministers meeting held at the Ministry of Home Affairs on Monday promoted DIG Basanta Bahadur Kunwar, Tek Prasad Kunwar, Deepak Thapa, Shyamlal Gyawali, and Kiran Bajracharya.
The council of ministers decided on the recommendation from the Ministry of Home Affairs.
One out of the five will be declared as IG within this week. Basanta Bahadur appears to be the strongest candidate among the five.
